Ed, who earned his PhD in Chemical Engineering in 1985, has enjoyed four decades of diversified engineering experience in the petroleum, petrochemical, gas processing and polymer industries. This experience includes liquefied natural gas plant design, gas-to-liquids process design and development, catalyst plant design, refinery revamps, basic chemical plant upgrades, environmental compliance projects, production plant improvements and extensions, foam plant modernisations and pilot plant designs.

Ed has shown leadership in new technology development, including microwave and radio frequency treatment of polymers and refractory materials, producing ethylene from waste flare gas, and medical tool sterilisation. He holds more than 25 US patents.
