What we do
Our solution for South Africa – and the world
The Airborne System, a suite of clean coal technologies, is a unique solution whose time is now. It is particularly important in South Africa, the world’s seventh-largest coal producer and a leading emitter of greenhouse gases.
Our internationally tested and proven system converts existing coal-fired power stations into reliable and cost-effective generation facilities, which are environmentally responsible to the highest emission standards.
Not only is air pollution eliminated and water saved, the use of geothermal wells to sequestrate carbon provides a secondary, clean energy source that can power thousands of homes at no additional cost – as well as lucrative carbon credit income for the power producer.
The Airborne System also boosts vital food security, with the creation of high-quality agricultural fertilisers as by-products of the emissions elimination process.
No emissions
The Airborne System achieves near-zero emissions from coal-fired energy by removing SOx, NOx, CO2, mercury, particulate matter and dioxins from flue gas.
As a matter of fact, our system obviates the need for a coal-fired power station’s stack altogether; that, together with deep-well injection of CO2, eliminates 100% of air pollution.
Better margins
Our proprietary pollution removal system creates a circular economy that improves fuel consumption, reduces operating costs and waste, and drives significant secondary revenue.
Pollutants are converted into agricultural fertilisers, carbon sequestration creates clean geothermal energy, and our sodium sorbents are recycled in the scrubbing process for continuous reuse.
Facility optimisation
The Airborne System promotes more efficient combustion, decreases cleaning requirements and increases the lifespan of equipment and facilities in all coal-burning industries.
We take pride in optimising systems with long-lasting design to provide reliable energy for our customers.
